Alice Beckstrom is a Private Voice Teacher/Vocal Coach (Beckstrom Vocal Studio, in Midland, Texas) and now offers in-person as well as online singing lessons, and director of: Midland-Odessa Community Chorus (since 2015, the core-choir for the Messiah Sing-along; and the stage choir for Michael McLean's 2017 performance of The Forgotten Carols at the Wagner Noel), and, Katy Chamber Chorus (composed of some of her advanced vocal students and other area musicians) and writes and records unique and period choral music arrangements (The Lord of the Rings - A Choral Symphony; There Lived a Hobbit; and Celtic Dreams).
While singing with the Houston Symphony Chorus, Alice was the dialect coach in Middle-earth languages when they performed The Lord of the Rings Symphony in 2004 & 2005 and The Fellowship of the Ring- Live in 2010; has gone on concert tours in Prague, Budapest, Vienna, England and Wales. Sang and recorded Holst's The Planets for CD/DVD with the Houston Symphony and took it on tour to Carnegie Hall and also to Florida. Also sang as part of a select choir with Andrea Bocelli at his Houston concerts in 2010 and 2012. And most recently rejoined the Houston Symphony and Chorus for Mahler's Eighth, Symphony of a Thousand. Alice currently sings with the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale.
After moving away from the humidity of Houston in 2013, Alice discovered she needed a new facial regimen to combat the effects of living in the dry, desert atmosphere of west Texas. She discovered Rodan + Fields in October of 2015 and has loved the results so much that she became an R + F consultant in January of 2017 and now offers encouragement and support to any that would like to learn more about purchasing or selling their many skin care products.
