KATY CHAMBER CHORUS
PRESENTS:
The Lord of the Rings - A Choral Symphony
The Lord of the Rings - A Choral Symphony, opens with Tolkien’s warning of approaching evil of Sauron and the Ring, and continues with the Hobbits of the Shire, Frodo’s journey to destroy the Ring, while meeting: elves of Rivendell & Lothlorien,
dwarves & orcs in the mines of Moria, the free peoples of Rohan & Gondor,
Frodo’s unlikely companionship with Gollum/Smeagol, the destruction of the Ring
and concludes with his final journey, into the West.
There Lived A Hobbit
There Lived A Hobbit gets its title from the first sentence in The Hobbit:
“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit.”
A Tolkien-inspired score, this is a retelling of The Hobbit through story and song
and focuses on the adventures of Bilbo Baggins as he meets and encounters
wizards, dwarves, elves, giant spiders, Gollum and even a dragon
till the road takes him back where he began, to his own front door.
